MORE LIKE GOATS", a five-panel drawing, is an inquiry into the potential impacts of gene technologies such as crispr cas9 that have reshaped agriculture, animal production, and medicine in dramatically positive ways, but have an underlying potential for irreversibly changing our relationship to the natural world. The forms that evolved through the drawing process derived from animals and plants, tools and architecture. The text that overlays the drawing poses the question of whether we can anticipate or control the outcomes new technologies. The drawing was completed during the height of the first wave of the COVID 19 pandemic, and felt particularly cogent given the importance of gene editing technology in the rapid development of vaccines and treatments for the virus.
